Tower Peak Partners (“Tower Peak” or “TPP”), a global investment firm launched in 2024 and led by Anthony Catachanas, is pleased to announce that Elisa Alvares has joined as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Global Rights & Intellectual Property.
Elisa will be responsible for building the firm’s investment capabilities in Global Rights and Intellectual Property (“GRIP”), with the goal to develop a fund focused on IP assets across a range of industries, which are pivotal for the development of the global digital-knowledge economy and are currently undergoing transformative changes.
The team and its new investment strategy will initially focus on intellectual property assets within the entertainment and sports sectors. A particular emphasis will be focused on audio-visual production and distribution, and sports rights.
The new Global Rights & IP strategy complements Tower Peak’s other focus on providing returns by helping companies transition within markets that are experiencing deep structural change. It has already launched fundraising for its debut fund focused on sustainable industrial private equity investments in Europe and North America. It also has plans to launch further strategies across a range of asset classes including global industrial and technology infrastructure, natural capital, social impact investments.
Elisa previously founded Jacaranda Group, a London-based investment advisory firm assisting family offices and investment firms in their direct investments in the media and entertainment, media-tech, sports and other IP-related sectors. She also has more than 20 years as a media and entertainment financier, is a qualified lawyer and has been credited as being as a Film and TV producer, working with Oscar-winning production companies with a history of commercial success.
