Denis is a Founding Partner of the firm and its Group Chief Financial & Chief Risk Officer, based in its London headquarters. He is responsible for firmwide risk management and oversight, investment and portfolio risk oversight, firm financial management, and firm stakeholder engagement, as well as transaction negotiation, structuring, and general firm development matters within the management team.
Before Tower Peak, Denis was the Founder and CEO of Navirco, a strategic risk consulting business focused on large global industrial companies at the executive level.
Prior to this, he was EMEA Head of Structured Solutions and Risk Advisory in Mizuho Bank’s Corporate Finance Advisory Division. Denis has advised the executive arms of large French and other European industrial companies, notably in the energy, utilities, natural resources, automotive, chemical, and aerospace/defence sectors.
Previously, he was a senior advisor to the board of SLJ Macro Partners, now Eurizon SLJ Capital, providing the firm with insights into industrial equity investments and corporate investor strategies.
Denis also worked as a portfolio manager at Eiffel Investment Group, a principal investment business that spun out from the privately-owned global merchant firm Louis Dreyfus Company.
Denis spent over 9 years working for the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Group across several advisory roles as Head of Strategic Advisory and Corporate Solutions, as well as within the investment bank.
He began his career at the French Ministry for the Environment, where he was an Official Representative for Energy Affairs and Head of Environmental Regulation for Industrial Companies. He was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Task Force for the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol, leading the national consultation with the energy industry and co-authoring policy recommendations.
Denis also held an academic post as a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
Denis holds an MSc in Science & Engineering from Mines Paristech, a Master in Public Policy from the Corps des Mines School of Government at Mines Paristech, and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
