Sergio Figueiredo is the Managing Partner of the firm and Chief Investment Officer for Private Equity in South America, based in the firm’s Rio de Janeiro office. He is responsible for overseeing all Private Equity investment activities across private equity in the region, including origination, negotiations, portfolio management, investment execution, post-investment monitoring, and the overall management of the Rio office.
Prior to joining Tower Peak, Sergio was Managing Partner at Regent Capital Partners, a Brazilian M&A and investment boutique specialized in renewable energy investments and corporate finance advisory for medium and large companies, as well as investment groups in Brazil.
Before this, he was a Partner at G5 Evercore’s Private Equity in Brazil, serving as Investment Director for a mid-cap private equity fund, where he evaluated investment opportunities across sectors such as renewable and conventional energy, logistics, healthcare, education, technology, and retail. He was also a Partner at Fiducia Asset Management, where he played a key role in building and developing transactions within the renewable and conventional energy sectors.
Sergio also worked in Vale’s Logistics division as Manager for the Business Development unit, where he contributed to various infrastructure projects across Brazil and represented Vale as a board member of ANTF (Brazilian National Association of Railway Carriers).
He holds a Master’s in Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP-FGV) and attended London Business School as an international exchange student. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a Postgraduate degree in Capital Markets from IBMEC-RJ. Sergio is fluent in both English and Portuguese, with advanced proficiency in Spanish.
